Boston Market was founded in 1985 in Newton, Massachusetts, by Steven Kolow and Arthur Cores. It was a wild success and the chain grew fast opening store after store in the early to mid 90’s.
In 2000, McDonalds Corporation purchased the chain, only to sell it seven years later to an investment group.
Originally known as “Boston Chicken” they opened their doors in 1985 specializing in rotisserie chicken meals. In 1995 they expanded their line of foods to include meatloaf, turkey, sandwiches, and ham. At this time Boston Chicken stopped existing and Boston Market took its place.
Since then Boston Market has grown to over 460 stores in 28 states nationwide.
