Two years later, in 1985, Butler sold the chain to United States Shoe Corporation. He stayed on as president until 1987 when Ban Hudson took over the company. By 1990 Hudson had become CEO of US Shoe and that led to Dave Browne to become the CEO of LensCrafters.
Today the chain has 850 locations in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Hong Kong and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Luxottica.

Opticians are also in high demand. As an optician you will help the customer make sure that the lenses are mounted correctly. You’ll mark the uncut lenses and make sure that frames sit correctly on the wearers face. You may be required to make adjustments from time to time as well.
