Teavana is a specialty retail teahouse that was founded in 1997 in Atlanta, Georgia. The founders were a husband and wife team who noticed on their travels that Americans were starting to consume it more along with fine wines and coffees.
The concept was simply to create a “heaven of tea” to offer to their customers. Tea lovers can consume teas of every category.
From herbal, flavored, andexotic teas, to fusion and blooming teas, to even a collaboration with Oprah Winphrey called the Teavana Oprah Chai Tea, they have it all and quickly gained in popularity among the ever expanding tea drinking community.
Today, Teavana operates over 400 retail locations and can be found in most shopping malls across the USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the Middle East.
In 2012 the company was sold to Starbucks for $620 million.
With more and more studies being released about the positive effects related to tea and health as well as weight loss, the tea industry has grown by leaps and bounds.

Keeping the barista station constantly cleaned and organized is highly important for best practices.
